DIY Case Management
We understand that following a catastrophic injury you may need the assistance of a personal care team. Some individuals may wish to employ their care teams directly. You may not be able to afford the services of a Case Manager. This section offers practical advice for Case Managers and patient relatives or individuals who wish to manage their own package of care in England and Wales. First things first
The first thing you need to do is register with the Inland Revenue as an employer or on behalf of the employer. The Inland Revenue will issue you with an Employer's Tax Reference Number which you will use to make National Insurance and PAYE payments. Full guidance and information can be found by clicking here. By Law you must have Employer's Liability Insurance cover.
